When children between the ages of 6 to 59 months become severely hungry, they are nine times more likely to die compared to a healthy child.  SAM is treatable with Ready-to-Use-Therapeutic Foods (RUTF), RUTF can save these children from the brink of death within a short period of time. Empower 54 has partnered with a UN certified RUTF manufacturer to commence a small-scale RUTF production in any of the African countries we conduct humanitarian activities in 2017!
